R.Š. studied in Department of Recreology at Faculty of Physical Culture where he is working till now. Today he is vice dean for development and public affairs of the faculty. He obtained his Ph.D. from exercise physiology.
R.Š. has done research in the areas of exercise physiology, health enhancing physical activity, PA prescription, PA in health care settings, PA recommendation, and PA promotion. He teaches the courses PA prescription, PA promotion, PA regimes, fitness.
He is internationally active first of all as the member of Steering Committee of HEPA Europe (European Network for Promotion of Health Enhancing Physical Activity). He is member of IIHP from 2000.
